streetfootballworld South Africa has announced an exciting new collaboration with Xwolf Sportswear, a sports brand specialising in the production of sporting kits and equipment. The collaboration seeks to encourage community based football teams participating in local leagues to purchase the Xwolf branded team kit from retail stores such as Teamkits.co.za and ProSoccer.co.za to name a few. The Xwolf brand, will now be marketed and sold as the football for good social brand in South Africa. All income generated from the initiative will benefit football for good organisations in the region.
As part of the product launch, an Xwolf kit was donated to the u14 football team of OASIS, a network member in Cape Town. The team’s coach, Dillon Fletcher, who was previously involved in anti-social behaviour and is now a community coach said, “We are very grateful for the kit which has been given to our team as the best performing team on and off the pitch.” OASIS works in low-income communities using football for good programmes, including football3, to connect youth and adults, offering education and life skills opportunities.
Lyal Mac, the owner of Xwolf Sportswear says, “The team and I are really excited about this initiative. We are hoping to raise some awareness and income for these great organisations which they can use to support their programmes.”
In partnership with local network members and football for good partners, streetfootballworld South Africa plans to market the Xwolf product to football clubs, schools, federations and corporate partners, in an effort to build awareness and interest for the product.
